This lakeside cafe was the first breakfast place we visited in Canberra, and immediately gave a very good first impression of this city. It is super chill and cozy, have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. One of the best Shakshuka we tried, definitely a stable dish. The Coffees are nice too, smooth.

Located at 13/81 Giles Street, Kingston, ACT, Australia ???????? A wonderful cafe located on the foreshore of Kingston. The views over the water are stunning, especially on a clear day. The menu offers a great range of dishes. I had the Brioche French Toast and a Hot Chocolate. This was a total of $31.00. It is obviously a very popular cafe as it was full when we came. You can sit inside or there’s tables outside at the front of you wanted but these fill up fast I would imagine. It’s very accessible for wheelchairs . There are toilets nearby. A wonderful place to come to for breakfast on a Sunday morning like we did. A great way to end our weekend in Canberra. Would definitely recommend. Thumbs up!!

Dockside Café in Kingston offers a charming waterfront dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it was a pleasant experience to grab a meal with some friends. The chai latte was well-spiced and creamy and not overly sweet. I had the Eggs Benedict with halloumi. The eggs were poached perfectly, with a beautifully runny yolk. The hollandaise sauce was rich and buttery, complementing the saltiness of the halloumi. The pancakes were lovely as it looked. To balance everything out, I also had the ginger, orange, and carrot juice. It was refreshing and vibrant, with a great balance of sweetness and zing from the ginger.

Absolutely loved this place! The coffee was rich and perfectly brewed, and, big shoutout to the chefs! Every dish was a hit, the healthy bowl was vibrant and nourishing, the avocado toast was perfectly seasoned, and the cheeseburger? Juicy, cheesy, and absolutely satisfying! The atmosphere is cozy with a great vibe, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re after a quick bite or a quiet spot to relax, this café ticks all the boxes. Can’t wait to come back!

I visited Dockside twice and here is my opinion! Seating: I love the semi-outdoor seating where there is still some warmth during the colder months so that I can sit with my dog! Really cozy and spacious. Food: Food is very good and taste is above average relative to Canberra cafes in general. Price is also about the same. However, I did notice that some portions are a bit small. For the shakshuka, I had to add mushrooms on the side to make a filling meal. On my second visit, I shared the Calamari salad and Pork Benny with someone else, and the portion was quite small. I was especially disappointed at the amount of salad that was given in the dish that is named Calamari Salad, after all. This cafe does have a nice sides menu where you can add roast mushrooms and such, so make sure to order enough for you to make a filling meal. Service: I didn't find service to be a big part of the experience, as they help you get seated, but you order online through QR and they just bring the food to you. Our table did not have enough utensils in the utensil tub on the table so we had to grab our own, but otherwise, every one did their job and were nice. Bathroom: As all the cafes in this area, the bathroom is a bathroom in the building shared with several other shops and have to walk around the building. It's pretty clean and well maintained.

Fantastic casual dining with excellent food and service. Couldn't fault anything about the experience, thoroughly enjoyed my black (squid ink) angel hair pasta with seafood. Highly recommended!
